A quick look at Microsoft BizSpark’s Ahmedabad and Mumbai startups

Microsoft Bizspark startup challenge visited the city of Ahmedabad and Mumbai yesterday.

The events took place at CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad campus and Bombay Stock Exchange, where 8 startups from Ahmedabad and 14 startups from Mumbai region pitched and made their best effort to impress the jury members.

Two winner companies who are moving forward to the grand finale on 7th June are Trutech from Mumbai and iStudio from Ahmedabad.

Following were the other selected startups that caught our interest from two cities –

Trutech (Mumbai Winner) – Trutech Webs pvt ltd is a cloud based web computing solutions provider to Organizations in Education, Finance, Business and Real Estate.

Axisvation Technologies (Mumbai) – Is a technology consulting, IT services and solutions company which offers next-gen solutions and services on Collaboration, Mobility and Cloud Space.

Blynk Systems (Ahmedabad) – Blynk, its mobile & tablet app based solution for Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes, Bars and Lounges allow their customers to browse through their offerings and place orders & service requests. Working on a mission to ‘mobilize technology’ the company provides self service solutions to hospitality industry.

Centramation (Ahmedabad) – Centramation provides cloud based solutions for small and medium businesses. Currently developing ‘Kabal’, an RSS feed management tool, the company has developed its cloud based project management software ‘Remind me this’ for SMEs.

Instasend (Ahmedabad) – Instasend is a Web application that lets Android Users send/receive SMS through Web Interface using its Android SMS ‘InstaSend’. Only available on android at the moment, the company is developing its iOS app as well.

Intellibuzz (Mumbai) – Helping businesses to shrink telecom costs by providing its manual and automated tools and technology.  service providers on behalf of its clients, Intellibuzz allow its clients to focus on their core competencies.

Mera Venue (Ahmedabad) – online venue management and search platform which provide information and booking facility for domestic and international venues available for various purposes. Launched in 2012, the company claims to be first of its kind provider in India.

Pratikar Technologies (Ahmedabad) – A technology company providing  cyber security solutions to businesses in the field of IT, Manufacturing, BPOs, Banks, Service Providers, Healthcare & education.

Rhapsody (Mumbai) – Rhapsody Labs is a Mumbai based IT technology firm which provides cost effective, reliable result-oriented augmented reality and e-commerce solutions for a global clientele. Its latest product ‘Mirror Ornaments’ is a digital Mirror which lets users try Jewellery efficiently using an iPad.

Rob a Shop (Ahmedabad) – A mobile app focused on enhancing shopping experience, allow users to subscribe to notifications about various deals and offers in their locality. Rob a Shop is a product of A.Live Mind a Gujarat based tech startup.

SmartShehar (Mumbai) – A mobile app developer with a vision to make urban living easy. The company creates commuting, safety and governance apps.

Timesaverz (Mumbai) – An online platform which helps working professionals save time by getting rid of their regular mundane tasks like Bill Payments, cleaning and other servicing tasks.

The challenge for the first time is taking place at 10 different cities, already selected one best startup from 8 cities so far, next will be Coimbatore and Bangalore on June 6th.
