Yoga Smoga raises INR 5 crore from Mumbai Angels and others

Yoga-inspired athletic apparel and accessories online retail website Yoga Smoga, had raised INR 5 crore INR 5.5 crore in fresh round of funding from Mumbai Angels & few other US based angel investors.

Yoga Smoga designs and manufactures products for men and women related to Yoga theme and suitable for Yoga activities. It works with a mix of Supplex and synthetic fibre for its products for easy stretching and tight-fitting garments. The company also claims to use nanotechnology to ensure moisture management, which makes their workout clothes dry quicker.

The company was founded in 2010, by US based Indian origin entrepreneur, Rishi Bali. YogaSmoga launched it’s online web-store earlier this year and will also be launching it’s offline store in US.  Founder, Rishi Bali had previously worked with Goldman Sachs, and prior to this he also started an early-stage venture fund Bali Investors Group.

Other portfolio companies of  Mumbai Angels included ScreamPoint, NetElixir and (sold to Myntra).
