Microsoft bizSpark announces its top 10 Hyderabad startups

Microsoft BizSpark India Startup Challenge is an annual event which provides a platform to identify and promote upcoming promising startups in India who are providing a product in the field of connected devices and continuous services.

The company has announced its Hyderabad’s 10 shortlisted startups for its Bizspark India startup challenge which are due to be presented before the eminent Jury on may 25th, to further shortlist the best startup who will enter in the Grand Finale in Bangalore.

Following are the 10 shortlisted startups:

Milkorwater – Started by an alumni of IIM, BITS and Wall street, MilkorWater provides an innovative ranking engine to bring stock market investments within the reach of the common man.

Tripsharing – A trip sharing service which provide users a chance to share their trips with their friends and friends of friends. It notifies a user when someone else in his/her pool is going to a place the user wishes to go.

Amaterasu Electronics – Headquartered in Hyderabad, they focus on improving everyday lifestyle by providing innovative solutions which enable integration of appliances and the home environment with the digital world to provide a convenient living experience.

CellVTX Technologies Private Limited – based in hyderabad, a product led engineering services company,with its pay-as-you-use SAAS (Software As a Service) solutions, helps business in Retail, Healthcare and Hospitality and other verticals efficiently, cost effectively and timely manner.

ADOM Technologies – It provides complete GPS mobile asset tracking and management systems and specializes in Mobility Solutions, Fleet Management, Managed Services, Cloud Computing

135 Tech Labs – Focused on designing and developing mobile software platforms and applications. Hangoutt is its first product  which is a location enabled & gamified consumer engagement platform. The company is based out of Hyderabad.

Wisestep – It helps to provide job opportunities for freshers and professionals in top companies across world. It also allows Employers to reach out to more people and make their Hiring Process faster, cheaper and more efficient.

Tekworks Info Solutions – Started in 2011, TekWorks aims to provide media & entertainment solutions on Mobile devices through multiple content formats viz., Video, Audio, News, Magazine and Pictures.

The other two selected startups includes – Guid Software & Elidomo Computing.

In its 2013 addition, the challenge will be conducted in 10 cities across India, dates for it is already fixed. The top startups from each region will then present in B’lore for the finale. Its regional winners will get a total prize of INR 37 Lakhs divided among 30 startups, which may not come out as an exciting cash rewards for startups need, still a total of INR 10 Crore+ worth of non-cash prizes will also be provided to the winning startups. Non cash prices includes softwares, hardwares, marketing, visibility and technical support.

In the current series of various startup discovery platform popping up in India with various perks and benefits, it can be a good times for young entrepreneurial minds to engage and discover their passion for long run and to meet several mentors. Other series of such events include – NASSCOM’s 10,000 startups program, Unpluggd, Techsparks, GFS 2013 etc.
