Linkedin introduces CheckIn under its talent solutions

Linkedin had announced the introduction of it’s new global product, CheckIn under Talent Solutions, which will simplify collection and management of candidate information for the recruiters.

Recruiters look for interns and fresher candidates in campus hiring, the information and data collected becomes hard to handle. According to a research by Linkedin, recruiters collect about 100 resumes per event and spend 10 minutes manually entering each resume into their systems. As the data is stored either in form of resumes or in form of excel sheets, it becomes difficult to measure success metrics around it.

Out of around 225 million members, Linkedin has approx 30 million users who are students and recent graduates. CheckIn will create a way to harness capabilities of such candidates and even organize the data well for recruiters through it. CheckIn will capture information about candidates in all the recruiting events and manage it in Linkedin Recruiter for future use and analysis. It will be available from July this year.

How it works?

Candidates can make their profiles on CheckIn by just filling their information with their area of interest and this information is automatically stored within the Recruiter project.

Recruiters can reach candidate by setting up a CheckIn, where they can customize the way they want to store candidate information and label them on the basis of events. Recruiter can also send automatic follow-up email to all candidates after an event.

Linkedin’s Talent Solution has been top performer in terms of generating revenue  for company and in Q1 of 2013,  Linkedin’s 57% of the total revenue was earned from Talent Solutions. CheckIn will create yet another way for Linkedin to engage young candidates and students on Linkedin and add up ways to push this revenue channel.
