Jet Airways launches mobile app for windows phone with Nokia

Jet Airways in association with Nokia has launched its first mobile app aiming to make travel planning convenient and simple. The app will allow customers to book tickets, check flight status, manage Jet Airways account, etc.

The app provides secure flight booking process and allow users to check flight status by searching with flight number, airport or route. Users can also enroll and access JetPrivilege Account on the go, and get updates on the latest news and special offers. The Instant notification feature which provides real time alerts and apps ability to allow users to pin their booked tickets on the phone’s homescreen using live tiles, makes app more interactive for the users.

The new mobile app has been created with a clear focus to build a mobile strategy for Jet Airways and enhance overall guest travel experience by providing a mobile friendly interface. Jet Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Sudheer Raghavan believes that the rapid adoption of app utilisation by travelers using smart is accelerating the growth of travel bookings among mobile devices.

The app, compatible for Windows Phone 7.5, Windows Phone 7.8 and Windows Phone 8, can be downloaded for free from the Windows Phone App Store. Users can also download the app by sending SMS JetApp to 56388.

Jet Airways also has its own mobile ticketing solution i.e. JetWallet which allows users to book, pay and generate eTicket on mobile phones.

Previously, Air India in partnership with Ngpay had also launched its app to provide mobile phone booking facility and MakemyTrip mobile app has crossed one million downloads since launch.
