Indiaorders, helping offline retailers take orders online

To have an online presence for any bricks and mortar store has become significantly important today. If your business don’t have internet presence you may possibly miss being on the place where your potential customers can be.

Indiaorders, a Mumbai based startup, is going to enter in the eretail world with an idea to provide brick and mortar retailers an online platform.

The startup will provide products offered by various offline stores in Mumbai. The website will most likely to launch in about a week’s time. Unlike a traditional marketplace where any seller can upload their products to sell online, Indiaorders provide products from selected offline stores and thus works on an affiliate model. According to the founder the company will not be charging any sign up fee from the retailers.

At the moment, the company has tied up with over 60 retailers in Mumbai region out of which more than 20 have exclusively linked with Indiaorder. Shubham (which has 3 stores in Mumbai), Serenity, Pink Cow, Menz Trendz etc will be providing their products on Indiaorders. “We are already looking forward to add more stores from other major cities” added Jigar, cofounder at Indiaorders . It will provide delivery services all over India right after its launch with the help of Tanvi Logistics and Indiaontime as its logistic services.

Before Indiaorders, Jigar and Gautham Udani, two of three co-founders (Jigar, Gautham Udani and Ateev Gala) at Indiaorders, started their first venture – ‘Madorders’ in December 2011. An online late-night food delivery portal in Mumbai, which was later taken over and changed to Madbites. Self funded, Indiaorder is not planning to raise any funding at the moment.

To promote itself, the startup has already adapted cross branding promotion from its various tied up stores. These stores share database and do marketing for Indiaorders. Other practices include Google Adwords, Facebook ads etc. The company charges a predefined commission from its registered merchants on each sale in order to generate revenues and is also looking forward to put some ads on its portal in future.
