Delhi based Consumer Products Research platform, Reviews42 has raised an undisclosed amount of funds from Nirvana Venture Advisors, Rahul Khanna, Managing Director, Canaan India and few other undisclosed individual investors in series A. Existing investor Blume ventures also participated in this round. With this investment Rajan Mehra and Amit Patni of Nirvana Ventures has joined the Reviews42 board with Karthik Reddy of Blume Ventures.
The raised funds will be utilized by Reviews42 for building India’s largest catalogue in the next 4 months and technology to seamlessly integrate offline retailers. With this it will also focus on building mobile apps to enable online/offline shopping research experience to Indian consumers.
Rajan Mehra, Managing Director, Nirvana Ventures on their investment in Reviews42 said that they were attracted to the vision and energy of the founders and the simplicity and universal appeal of Reviews42’s product. “We believe the Reviews42 app and website could become important pillars of product discovery in the growing e-commerce market in India,” said Rajan.
Reviews42, founded by Neeraj Jain and Surjendu Kuila in 2011, offers a catalogue, user reviews, price comparison and expert opinions to help consumers buy the right product. It had raised seed fund from Blume ventures and VenturEast in November 2011 and VenturEast exited during this round.
