MyDentist raises INR 50 cr in Series B funding

Bangalore based, MyDentist, a chain of dental clinics providing dental related services, raised an amount of INR 50 crores in Series B from Seedfund Advisors & Asian Healthcare Fund led by Mape Advisory group.

The fresh capital will be used to expand its current network of 40 clinics to 200 clinics across Mumbai, Pune and western Indian regions in next 18 months. MyDentist will also be exploring expansion opportunities into other cities as well.

Asian Healthcare Fund, a SEBI registered PE fund, dealing in investments related to health care, has invested INR 40 cr into MyDentist while Seedfund, has agreed to invest additional INR 10 cr. They will be raising Series C in next 18 months through private equity route.

Founded by Vikram Vohra in 2009 and incubated by Seedfund, it earlier raised $200,000 in 2010 then followed by series A round of $2 million funding  in 2011.The company also has a website, with a slogan ”smile more, pay less”, where one can find all its services including price per service.
