Hong Kong based AcceleratorHK invites Indian startups to join latest batch

Hong Kong’s accelerator program AcceleratorHK is commencing its second batch and this time they are accepting overseas applications including those from India. The 14 week long program will be accepting both local and overseas entries between 9th to 15th April.

Funded by Telerik and led by entrepreneurs Stephen Forte and Paul Orlando, AcceleratorHK focuses on hybrid mobile app development with HTML5. It requires startups to have strong technical, design and business skills in a team which has made some progress via concept, prototype or existing service.

Participants will receive an initial investment of $15,000 from the accelerator as part of the program. It will also offer co-working space in The Good Lab in Hong Kong, weekly customer development programs and check-ins and meetings with key mentors. Startups will have sessions on Lean Startup Model, Analytics, UI & UX and Business Models & Marketing.

The Hong Kong startup scene is still believed to be in its infancy and can be termed as an attempt by AcceleratorHK to boost it. The program will take place in Hong Kong from May 11th through August 16th 2013. The program that launched in November 2012 had Taxiwise, PayAllies, SurroundApp, Dynamino100Village and GOnnect as its previous batch participants.
