Updated: Ladyblush raises upto $4mn from Bangkok based Alpha Founders

Women only marketplace Ladyblush has raise upto $4mn from Bangkok based Venture Capital and Venture Builder Alpha Founders. This is the first investment raised by Ladyblush.

As per Johannes Von Rohr, Managing Partner at Alpha Founders, the decision to invest into was guided by strong economics, a differentiated strategy and an excellent growth trajectory over the last months. “Compared to other players in the market, Ladyblush has a very clear positioning paired with extremely lean operation. These ingredients will make the business scale easily.”

Rahul Sethi, CEO, Ladyblush, said, “We are excited about the investment. Alpha Founders are complementing our team and business model with years of e-com expertise. They also bring aboard a network of co-investors for additional future funding rounds.”

Ladyblush was launched in 2012, by Rahul Sethi, Nagarjun Shrivastava, Suneet Manchanda. The site is currently offering 15,000 products and around 500 brands and is shipping products in various states including Haryana, Gujarat, Punjab, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, etc. It is also expected to start international shipping soon.

    I thought they were already funded. What i like most about ladyblush is that they haven’t followed the other 10-20, maybe 30 big guys in India who have blown away money with ease. They are probably one of the few survivors from last year’s long list of start-ups who had to either pull the plug or force merged with the bigger player.

    Focused approach and conserving money is critical in times like these.
