Lightspeed Venture Partners and Matrix Partners backed goes live, a fashion and accessories shopping portal for women has launched it services for the growing online shoppers. It is targeting the positioning as a social commerce platform towards informed and fashion savvy women shoppers. It catalogs categories like apparel, accessories, home and non-perishable food.

The company is already backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Matrix Venture Partners and team consists of Suchi Mukherjee, Founder & CEO, Ex-eBay, Skype and Gumtree, Manish, ex-COO Tommy Hilfiger India, Ankush Mehra, ex-Head of Supply Chain Reliance Hypermarkets, Ahti Heinla, Founding Architect of Skype, Founding Engineer Kaaza, Michael V Swaaij, Advisor, ex-Chairman Skype and attributed with launch of eBay & AOL in Europe.

Speaking on the launch Suchi Mukherjee, CEO, said, “We are on a journey to build the most extensive and engaging lifestyle platform ever. Our sole objective is to make the shopping experience on LimeRoad so delightful, that we become the online destination for women to find gorgeous yet affordable products.”

Speaking on brands Suchi said, “We have gone out and built strong partnerships with a really rich selection of brands. With categories like apparel, accessories, home and food, is designed to be a woman’s “me time” online. We’re launching with many brands, nearly half of which are exclusively available with us.”

Site displays International and national mega brands in their flagship form, Home-grown brands by exporters of world-class-products exclusively launched for, Erstwhile brands that have been revived online and local landmark products from cities and towns.

LimeRoad will allow users to shop-by-city, shop-by-brand, or shop-by-flagship store, where one can browse and connect with shops, brands and retailers of ones choice.
