Indian Music channel 9XM debuts in ecommerce with, targets youngsters with trendy accessories

After several Bollywood stars, now music channel 9X Music has taken the route of ecommerce and launched Currently it showcases 9 categories including merchandises and accessories décor for bar, car, couch, desk, fridge, table and wall.

The website seems to be targeting youngsters as most of the showcased products are youngsters centric. While navigating through the website, we have seen merchandise like T-shirts, bags, clocks, stationery and accessories to crockery items such as coffee mugs, dinner plates and soup bowls. It also features products in vogue like flip flops, bags and table twisters, ash trays. The music group has tied up with smaller vendors to source products. currently has 30 odd designers featuring their products and channel is in process with other brands and retail outfits to swell its catalogue.

The UX/UI is very peppy and goes perfectly in sync with the kind of products that are being shown on the website. However, for the potential consumers landing on the home page, there is no direct access to info on shipping, payment option and delivery duration, which is otherwise expected from any ecommerce website. The main product showcase on the product page in the categories of 9X merchandises does not come across as neat & clean with some seemingly glitches. The website though is very jazzy and it could be easily ascertained from the assisted content meant for products and keeps itself in theme with the parent channel and its media like Bakwas Band Kar.
