Babyoye, a Mumbai based online retailer of babycare products has registered more than 100x growth since its inception in December 2010, the growth encompasses number of consumers and sales . It has been registering fair amount of traction across categories with diapers, Feeding & Nursing leading the show.
Speaking about the growth of babyoye.com , Sanjay Nadkari, CEO & Co Founder said “we have identified the good appetite for ecommerce in last one year where consumers are opting to babyoye for convenience, range, brands and trust”. According to Nadkari, babyoye.com’s 50 to 60 percent orders come from top 8 cities and rest from tier 2 & 3 cities.
Throwing light on growth across categories, Nadkari said that Babyoye has been witnessing 35 to 40 percent growth across the categories. Answering the query based on performance of newly added categories like toys, music and outdoor gears Nadkari said “ these categories will take some time to evolve, however we see strong crave for it not from metros only but from remote areas too”.
Sharing his thought about status-quo of babyoye.com in Indian ecommerce industry, Nadkari said “Indian ecommerce industry is still in nascent stage and we are creating a viable option for consumers looking for baby, baby care related products”.
