Mindshare, the flagship media agency of GroupM, has announced Ashok Lalla as Leader, Digital for Mindshare, South Asia. Based out of Mumbai, Lalla will report to Ravi Rao, Leader, Mindshare South Asia.
Earlier Lalla worked for Euro RSCG, where he was President – Digital, and handled several big clients, including Unilever and IBM.
Welcoming Lalla’s appointment, R Gowthaman, Leader, Mindshare South Asia, said, “Ashok Lalla joins Mindshare at a time when our digital businesses is well poised to grow manifold, not only on the basic services, but also across Search, Social, Mobile, Creative and Performance Marketing. Lalla is an award-winning Digital, Brand and Social Media Marketing evangelist with more than 18 years of agency and client business experience on brands. Earlier, he was Director of Internet Marketing at Taj Hotels, where he headed world – wide Digital strategy and e-commerce wing for the hotel chain for nine years.
