“No plans to reach customers through the TV immediately” – Vijay Jumani – Founder & CEO hoopos.com

Earlier in day, iamwire has reported about Bangalore-based hoopos.com raised an undisclosed amount of fund from Helion Advisers. Hoopos.com has started its operations  this year, offers a wide array of products across 12 categories. Talking more about the funding and venture iamwire.com caught up with Vijay Jumani, Co- Founder & CEO, hoopos.com. Jumani reiterated that fund would be utilized for ramping up the team, upgrading technology and developing fulfillment. Here are the excerpts of brief interaction.  

As hoopos.com is into baby care mother-care, kids products and there are others players operating in the same domain like babyoye and firstcry. What are the differentiators of hoopos.com?

The team at hoopos.com has deep experience in e-commerce, technology and retail of baby and kids’ products. Our understanding of the customer needs, the category, and the relations with the supply chain, combined with knowledge of technology and e-commerce will help us serve customers with a difference. This understanding will reflect in the product range we offer our customers and the experience we offer through our technology.

What strategies hoopos.com has in place to deal with the investment?

hoopos.com will use the funding for ramping up the team, upgrading technology, developing fulfilment infrastructure including warehouse and logistics, marketing and building customer support infrastructure.

Can we expect TV as an integral part of marketing mix for hoopos.com now?

There are no plans to reach out to customers through the television medium immediately.
